I am a Estonian-Ukrainian Soviet baby. My family immigrated to the United States when I was 5 years old and I grew up mostly on the East Coast. Our first few years were spent in Rhode Island, then 10 or so years in Virginia and most of my college years spent in South Florida.
I completed my Intercultural Communication Bachelor's Degree program at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. In 2015, I decided it was time for a change and I moved across the U.S. to my current home, the quirky and beautiful city of Seattle.
I have over 20 years of sales experience and 6 years of retail and account management. The last 6 years I've worked in the healthcare insurance industry and in 2017 decided to pursue a career in web development.
In 2018, I enrolled in the Web Development Certificate program at Seattle University. Over the past year, I've been studying the various technologies that have allowed me to exercise my creativity and create multiple websites. I specialize in front-end JavaScript, Node.js and single page application websites using the Vue.js framework, as well as WordPress. I will be graduating in August 2019 and excited to continue learning and developing.
